One of the gateways to the French Mediterranean coast, Marseille Airport is a well-equipped, modern transportation hub, serving over 30 international destinations and more than five million passengers per year.
The airport has one two-storey terminal that caters to all arrivals and departures. The terminal is divided into three halls, designated Halls 1 (international arrivals and departures), 3 and 4 (domestic arrivals and departures).
There are ATMs located in Halls 1, 3 and 4, and there is also a bank and money exchange bureau. A post office is situated in Hall 1, and internet access is provided by booths in arrivals, boarding lounges and the business centre. WIFI access (Wireless Internet Orange connection) is also supported in Halls 3 and 4 – access cards can be purchased from Relay shops (Halls 1 and 4) at the airport.
There is a wide range of excellent restaurants, cafes and bars spread across the terminal, while shopping is facilitated by a dazzling variety of duty-free and regular outlets. Products include local handicrafts, foods and beverages, jewellery, sporting goods, and clothing. A wide range of newspapers, magazines and books is also available, and a pharmacy is located in Hall 1. There are four quality hotels situated near the terminal building.
The airport has an excellent business centre that has rooms of various sizes, the largest catering for up to 30 people. Standard equipment is readily available; rooms can be booked in advance by faxing the Business Centre on +33 (0) 4 42 14 31 31. There are two spacious VIP lounges which can also be booked for receptions and meetings.
Those who require special assistance or wheelchairs should notify their airlines when booking their flight. Specially fitted toilets, lifts and ramps are located across the airport. As for car parking, designated areas are available in the car park opposite the terminal.
There are information booths in Hall 1 and Hall 4 which can assist visitors with baggage services, lost property, messages for travellers, loud speaker announcements and tourist information. There are also three tour operators (Hall 1) and a travel agency (Hall 4) to assist in any further travel plans.
