For a more edifying New York experience, take a subway trip to the Bronx, and visit Yankee Stadium and the Bronx Zoo. Fans can go to Shea Stadium to see the Mets play baseball and to nearby Flushing Meadows for the US Tennis Open, both in the Borough of Queens.
Brooklyn has the Brooklyn Academy of Music, the Brooklyn Museum of Art, Prospect Park, and the world famous amusement parks and outdoor recreation of Coney Island.
Rockland and Westchester counties, to the north, boast some splendid colonial homes and estates. Encroaching into the Atlantic is Long Island, with its many farms, beaches, fishing villages, yacht clubs, and million-dollar estates. The Canadian/US border at Niagara is home to the great Niagara Falls.
