Avenida Garcia Morato, site for the city's main airport is a very important transport avenue where almost all travellers pass through on their way into the city. For a more peaceful side of the town check out the La Conception Botanical and Historical Garden, one of its kind in the city. A great contrast from the city is obvious in the garden, with its most serene environment, surrounded by a beautiful forest of plants and history. Lovely for a picnic and to relax and unwind after a busy day touring the city.

More nature activities can be experienced through the surrounding beaches, nearest of which is La Malagueta, although more peaceful and pristine beaches can be reached further east.
