Situated just 16kms from Funchal city centre, Santa Catarina Airport is easily accessed by both private and public transportation. Driving to and from the airport is convenient, with the route being clearly signposted.

Buses connecting the airport with local destinations around the port and beyond leave from outside the terminal building. Current timetables are available from the information desk near the meeting point. Aerobuses provide fast, convenient shuttle connections to and from Funchal, with the trip taking a mere 15 minutes. Taxis depart from outside the terminal building 24 hours a day and run to central Porto and other locations along the coast.

There are seven car parks: P0 – P7. P0 is for dropping off and picking up, while P1 is for short-term parking. P2 is for airport staff, while P3 and P4 are suitable for short-term parking at a pinch. P5, 6 and 7 are for long-term parking, but you can park here short-term for up to three hours for free.
