Loviisa is a town situated on the southern coast of Finland. It is located approximately 87km east of Helsinki on the road to St. Petersburg. The town is best known for its fortifications and wooden buildings, but it is also home to a number of museums and exhibitions, sited at various locations around the town. The Maritime Museum is located near the coast and has collections relating to the town’s seafaring history. Bonga Castle is another gallery located in the center of the town and contains various artworks including textiles, oil paintings and drawings.
