Louisville International Airport is served extensively by most domestic airlines, with frequent connections from major international hubs such as Atlanta and New York City. Louisville also offers daily flights around the state, including several to Lexington and other regional airports.
There are several major interstates running through Louisville. I-65 comes from the north (Indianapolis, Indiana), through Louisville and on to Nashville, Tennessee; while I-71 comes from Cincinnati into Louisville. I-64 enters the state from the west (St Louis, Missouri), goes through Louisville and Lexington and on to Charleston, West Virginia. I-75 comes into the state from the north via Cincinnati, Ohio, passes through Lexington, and goes on south to Knoxville, Tennessee.
Amtrak has daily trains connecting Louisville with Lexington, Atlanta, Miami, Columbus, Cincinnati, Chicago, Washington DC, Baltimore, New Jersey, New York and Boston.
Greyhound coaches run to all towns in the state from Louisville, and provide a cheap if uncomfortable travel option to major towns and cities across the US.
