Car Rental London - Exploring London

London is enormous, and beyond the well-trodden tourist routes are some magnificent days out. If public transport is too inconvenient, car rental gives you the flexibility to experience suburban London and its surprises.

Windsor castle, one of the Royal family’s current residences, is 30 miles west of London on the Thames river. It’s an imposing castle, open to the public with fine views over the quaint town and famous Eton college. Nearby is the enormous, manicured Great Windsor Dear Park. Also on the riverbanks is the palatial 17th century interiors of Hampton court palace, home of Henry XIII.

50 miles south of London is Brighton and the lovely Sussex coast. East Sussex has historic towns such as Hastings and Battle, while Kent (east of London) is home to Canterbury and its famous cathedral, as well as the White Cliffs of Dover. Surrey (south west London) is also lovely, particularly the hills around Dorking.

Closer to London, Greenwich is historical with its zero meridian, lovely park, quaint village and maritime museum. Camden market (north) is delightfully bohemian, and Hampstead heath offers fine views of the city. To the southwest is the world famous Kew Gardens and posh Richmond with its enormous park.
