Linz Airport, also known as Blue Danube Airport, is located 10kms southwest of Linz city centre, in Austria. The airport is an important hub offering daily connection flights to other major international airports including Frankfurt, Zurich and Vienna.
The airport is served by several airlines such as Austrian Airlines, Fairline, Lufthansa, Niki, Pegasus, Styrian Airlines and Tunisair as well as Ryan Air, which fly to many destinations in Europe.
Equipped with a variety of facilities for passengers, the airport boasts an all-in-one information desk offering fax, e-mail and photocopy services as well as information on car and taxi hire. Banks, bureaux de change and auto-exchange machine are all situated in the terminal. Many cafeterias, restaurants and bars are available for both passengers and guests. The airports new restaurant, Airest Restaurant, also provides a wide range of dishes and refreshments.
The airport also has a duty-free shop and newsagents for last-minute shopping. VIP lounges are available for hire, equipped with modern facilities. The seminar and conference rooms can seat up to 140 persons, with catering and conference equipment available on request.
Passengers with disabilities will find special parking spaces located 25 metres from the terminal building. The airport provides lifts and ramps, while the toilets are wheelchair accessible. Public telephones for wheelchair users are located in the Arrivals Hall.
