The airport is situated 16kms northwest of central Lima and is the principal gateway to Peru. Connections include many chief destinations in North America, Europe and Asia.
One terminal deals with all departures and arrivals, providing a wide range of facilities to cater for travellers' needs.
Four bureaux de change remain open 24 hours, two of which are situated in the main hall of the International zone and another two in the Domestic zone. The International zone also houses a bank and ATMs are distributed throughout the International and Domestic zones.
Three restaurants are on the mezzanine level, with three cafés and two fast food outlets also on hand. You will also find a restaurant and cafe in the international zone, with all shops and restaurants providing a 24 hour service.
Newsagents and gift shops are situated in the main hall, as are sweet shops. Also on the main concourse, passengers will find shops and booths selling handicrafts, books, magazines and other items, as well as vending machines with soft drinks, snacks, cigarettes and coffee.
A left luggage facility is provided in the main hall while both a chemist's and medical centre ( providing a vaccination service) are also on hand. For email and web-surfing, an Internet cafe is located in the International transit area.
You may also use the service of the airport porters, who may be hired at the terminal for a small fee -- they are dressed in uniform and have a push cart for luggage. You are advised not to accept any unofficial assistance.
Specially adapted toilets and ramps are provided to facilitate wheelchair access across the terminal. However, those who require wheelchairs should contact their airline in advance. Facilities for visually-impaired and hearing-impaired passengers are in accordance with international regulations.
Further queries will be handled by the Tourist Information Desk located in the main hall of the international zone.
