Le Puy Airport

    Guide

Le Puy-Loudes Airport is a small French regional airport in the Auvergne region. The airport is located about six miles west from the town of Le Puy-en-Velay.

The airport is currently used by only one airline, HexAir. HexAir offers daily flights to Paris Orly Airport from Le Puy-Loudes Airport. This French regional airline also flies out of Marcillac, Lyon and Mazamet airports.

The single terminal airport has limited facilities for passengers and travellers are recommended to shop or use the ATM prior to arriving at the airport. There is one small bar at the airport, as well as a nearby airport hotel.

There are also three cafs as well as lounges and a small array of shopping venues, some of which offer duty-free shopping. There is also an informative tourist information counter on hand to offer assistance. Parking is provided in seven car parks with both long and short-term parking catered for with 80 parking spaces available onsite.

The airport has limited transportation options. Visitors can get to the airport from Le Puy-en-Velay by taxi, with the ride taking about 10 minutes.

The most convenient way of getting to and from Le Puy-Loudes Airport, however, is by hire car. Car hire can be arranged at the airport at a cost, where Avis has a counter. Due to the regional nature of the airport, it is prudent to book a hire car prior to arrival.
