Las Vegas is served by McCarran International Airport, where travelers from other US cities, Canada and Europe have the best connections. The airport is located at the southern end of the Strip, about 5 miles south of downtown Vegas.
Several companies run shuttle buses between the airport and the city. Taxis are also available, and city buses run along the Strip into the downtown area.
Amtrak railway station is downtown located inside Gaughan's Plaza Hotel and Casino. Trains to all major US cities are available and an amazing way to take in the vast and sweeping landscapes of the country.
Greyhound has bus services between Las Vegas and Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, and Phoenix, Arizona. Its the cheapest but least comfortable means of traveling in the US.
One of the best ways to get to Las Vegas is by car. Highways traverse the desert and converge on Las Vegas from the major cities of the Southwest.
