Also known as the Baden Airpark, this small regional airport is located 35kms from Karlsruhe and 15kms from Baden Baden. Enjoying a location near a key motorway, the airport is easily accessed from neighbouring areas.
The airport is served by many low-cost airlines, with the notable ones including Ryan Air and dba. The low-cost carriers operate flights to Dublin, Barcelona, London, Paris, Rome and Berlin.
Even though the airport is quite small, it still boasts many facilities for passengers. There is a safe play area and a small cinema for children as well as the Travel Value Shop, where passengers can enjoy some last-minute shopping. The Baden Airport Gastronomie GmbH, with its bistro, can be found in the Departures area, while two cafes are located in the public area. ATMs, newsagents and internet points are scattered around the terminal.
There are no business facilities, but the information desk can assist you in sending faxes or providing telephone services.
The airport is disabled-friendly and was designed free of barriers. Wheelchair services are provided at all times. If you need special assistance, please inform your travel agency at the time of booking.
To & From
Driving to the airport is very convenient. If you come from the north, take highway A5 Karlsruhe-Basel, exiting at the Baden Baden exit. Follow the signposts for Baden Airpark until you reach the airport. From the south, take highway A5 BaselKarlsruhe and exit at the Baden-Baden exit, then follow the signposts.
If you drive from France, take the A35 motorway and exit at Roppenheim/56, pass through the Iffezeim traffic controls and then turn right at the next set of lights towards Hügelsheim. You will find the route to Baden Airpark is well-signposted.
By bus, there are several bus routes serving the airport including: bus route 205 from Baden Baden, the Baden Airpark Express and bus route 234 from Rastatt main station. For a complete bus schedule, visit: www.baden-airpark-express.de.
A taxi stand can be found in front of the terminal. The trip from the airport to the city centre of Baden Baden takes about 15 minutes.
