In 1882, the town was given the name Juan-les-Pins, using the Spanish spelling “Juan,” instead of the French “Jean.”

In 1883, a rail station was built on the Paris-Lyon-Méditerranée rail line. This line has been passing Juan-les-Pins since 1863. Up to this time, this is still a popular route to get to Juan-les-Pins.

Juan-les-Pins is a popular destination for people who enjoy the nightlife through clubbing and playing in the casinos. It also has beaches made up of very fine grained sand.

New Orleans is the sister city of Juan-Les-Pins. In fact, in the past years during the Juan-les-Pins festivities, both local and some New Orleans jazz bands join the parade.
