Islantilla is a seaside town that is located in Andalusia in Spain. The town is s partnership formed between two coastal towns Lepe and Isla Cristina. It’s a tourist resort that was born in the late 20th century.
The beginning of the foundations was laid in the year 1990. The first phase was completed in 1992 with the completion of a 4 star hotel, a golf course with 27 holes and a set of apartments. There has always been good co-operation between the private and public enterprises.
Most centrally located between the two towns, Islantilla has beach, recently built mall and hotels. Rising on the hill is the golf course that is ranked in the top 100 golf courses in the world. The town is just a few miles away from Portugal in southern Spain.
The nearest Urban center is La Antilla from where we can reach the town by road which runs parallel to the sea. The other interesting locations in the town include the nearby tower of Catalan and the port of El terron.
The main link to get here is through the airport in Faro in Portugal or Seville airport in Spain. Also A49 Highway links Seville and the town which goes on till Portugal. There is also a direct train station which connects with the fast trains that travel to Madrid. There are also several bus companies that cover this route.
The city has about 12 km of beach with different and suggestive fisonomias of sand. The Cusine here offers a wide varity of diverse feedstock and is primarily based on products developed in sea and delicious dishes that are prepared by expert cooks who enjoy deserved reputation.
With the climate being pleasant almost all through the year with more than 130 days of sunshine this makes it a perfect destination for a holiday.
