Car Rental Hong Kong Airport - Transportation to and From Hong Kong Airport
For rail travel, HKG airport has the ‘Airport Express’. This fast and convenient railway service runs between the airport and Hong Kong island. The train station is in the Ground Transportation Centre and trains run between 6:30am and 1:30am daily, at 10-minute intervals. Travel time to or from downtown Hong Kong is 23 minutes.
The Airport ferry service operates between Chek Lap Kok and Tuen Mun, an area north of the airport. The service runs from 6:00am to 11:00pm. There is a bus service from the airport’s passenger terminal to the ferry pier.
There is a bus station by one side of the Ground Transportation Centre. Numerous bus-routes serve the airport, heading off to different sectors of Hong Kong, Kowloon, Discovery Bay and the Northern Territories. Services run regularly and at night. Service information is readily available in the station.
Taxi ranks are located beside the Ground Transportation Centre on the other side from the bus stations. Different coloured taxis serve different destinations. Light personal hand baggage (no greater than 140 cm in total dimensions) can be carried free of charge inside the compartment.
Drivers may reach the airport from Hong Kong Island, by following signs to the Western Harbour Tunnel. After the tunnel, continue along the West Kowloon Expressway. Airport signs will guide you across the Tsing Ma Bridge to the airport island. Then continue on North Lantau Highway until the airport is reached.
Hong Kong International Airport offers four car parks, all of which are close to the Passenger Terminal.
