The city of Hilden is located in the western Germany, in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. The city is located 10km west of Solingen along the banks of Rhine. The city is situated at an elevation of 50-60m. And has a population of about 50,000 spread over an area of 27 square km. In contrast to other cities around it the city has an urbanized city centre and it acts as boundary for some smaller woods.
