In town, the pedestrian zone has various events that take place. The monument, the Grotto, and the pavilion are landmarks in the city park. A special attraction is a big carnival parade held in the streets of the inner city. This takes place in February. On the 4th of July weekend is the Gruenstadt Wine Festival.
