Car Hire Gold Coast - Mini guide to Gold Coast
The busy Gold Coast stretches from the coastal border of NSW and Queensland to Brisbane. It is an endless strip of sand, sea, high-rises and partying. The area enjoys tropical weather all year-round and many say that this lengthy stretch of coastline boasts Australias finest natural attractions.
From Coolangatta to Surfers Paradise there are numerous holiday apartments, hostels, hotels, busy beaches and bars, nightclubs and shopping for the thousands of happy holiday-makers that pass through the region.
Slightly further away Burleigh heads is particularly nice, being a somewhat more laid back option - where Surfers is seen as the notorious party spot.
Local theme parks include Seaworld, Movieworld, Wet n Wild and Dreamworld.
For those needing a days break from the endless beaches, nearby Mount Coo-tha also offers excellent views of the coast, as well as a fine tropical botanical garden. Slightly further north towards Brisbane is the excellent Brisbane forest park. In this area good beaches are to be found at Manly, Nudgee and Sandgate, while a day spent sailing among the many islands of Moreton bay is always a fantastic experience too.
