Islay Airport is situated on the south west coast of the island and benefits from strong summer traffic, from both the Scottish mainland and charters from places like the USA for golf-based holidays on the island’s famous links course near the airport. A scheduled flight is available to Glasgow, and is operated by Loganair. Transits take 35 minutes, with onward connections to other international destinations possible.

The one terminal provides limited facilities, with opening hours from Mon-Fri 09:45 – 18:30 during the winter and 09:30 – 18:30 in the summer months. Saturdays the airport opens from 09:45 – 10:30 during the winter, and from 09:45 – 10:30 in summer-time, while the facility usually remains closed on Sundays.

There are no financial facilities in the airport, however you will find a convenience store selling snacks and reading materials. As it is a small facility, there is as yet no business centre located in the terminal.

Disabled toilet facilities have been provided at the airport and other conveniences include specially adapted walkways and access points.
