Transportation to and From Glasgow Airport

The airport has its own train station, a mere 80 metre walk from the check-in desks. Trains run to and from Glasgow every half and hour and the journey takes about 45 minutes.

Stagecoach Airbus Western No. 4 bus runs to and from the airport and Glasgow Buchanan Street every half an hour at peak times and every hour during the rest of the day. This service runs 7 days a week. The journey time is about 50 minutes, and there may be special offers available on bus travel if you can show a valid airline ticket (ask for details).

The airport is located 35 minutes southwest of Glasgow city centre, off the A77. From the city centre, take the M77 south out of Glasgow, follow until it changes to the A77. The airport is north of the town of Ayr between Prestwick and Monkton (and east of the A77).
