The railway station in Paisley is 2 miles from the airport and is a quick taxi ride from the airport. It is also reachable with the frequent local buses, with the bus fare already included in the rail ticket fare bought at the airport public transport desk. Eight trains an hour operate from Monday-Saturday, while five trains an hour depart on Sundays from Paisley to Glasgow Central rail station. Train services also run to Ayr and stations along the Clyde Coast.
Shuttle buses also operate to central Glasgow and are provided by Airport Express (tel: +44 (0)141 553 1313) and Scottish Citylink (tel: (0)990 505 050 (UK only). Buses leave every 15 minutes during the day and every 30 mins. in the evening (journey time: 20 minutes) to various stops, including rail and bus stations. Further bus links are also available to Greenock and Gourock (for ferry connections).
Metered taxis are available 24/7 from outside the main terminal building.
If you are arriving by car, you will find the airport located about 20 minutes' drive from Glasgow, just north of the M8 motorway at junction 28, with excellent access to a network of main A roads serving the local area, including the town of Paisley, which is approximately 2 minutes' drive from the airport.
Once at the airport, you will find short-term car parking provided with direct access to the terminal, while the long-term parking is operated by Flightpath (tel: + 44 (0)800 128 128).
