Weather in Germany
Germany does not have dramatic climatic extremes but the weather can be variable so it's best to be prepared for all types throughout the year. The summers are reasonably warm (May October) with temperatures in most places reaching the mid 20s. Being largely landlocked, the winter months get cold with temperatures dropping to below zero, but long periods of frost or snow are rare, except in the real high country. Spring and Autumn can have surprisingly pleasant weather and are relaxed times to visit with very few tourists and beautiful scenery. There is no special rainy season as rain can fall throughout the year. However winters in the south are generally quite wet.
