Gardone Riviera is located in the Lombardy region, in the province of Brescia. There are many things to see and do in Gardone Riviera, not the least of which is the spectacular Hruska Botanical Gardens, begun in 1910 by a dentist (of all things!) and naturalist.

In summer, why not wander the promenade and discover the shows that are on offer, boasting musical and cultural talent second-to-none. Or, explore the Vittoriale degli Italiani, the former home of poet Gabriele d'Annunzio, now a home to a museum. This immense home stretches over nine hectares, and is walled, so it gives an imposing impression. It also boasts the largest amphitheatre in Lake Garda, with 1500 seats (the property holds a theatrical season each July and August). The house itself is furnished exactly the same as d’Annunzio furnished it, giving the visitor a perfect view into life as a poet.
