A member of the Insotel Group of Hotels, Club Maryland is located on the splendid Migjorn beach on the island of Formentera. This is a wonderful island with a Caribbean style ocean.

Club Maryland derives its name from the Spanish “Mary,” which means sea and the English “land. The club is surrounded by pine woods and offers bungalows built in the typical Mediterranean style.

Each bungalow is equipped with all the necessary amenities for guests’ comfort, They have a separate bedroom with ceiling fan; a lounge with sofa bed, satellite TV, kitchenettes, a private bath and either a balcony or terrace.

The resort offers two adult pools and two additional pools for children. A variety of eateries are conveniently located on the property, including an air conditioned non-smoking buffet restaurant, a snack bar and the more elegant terrace “Espalmador.” Particular features of this resort are the popular night club and a 524 seat amphitheatre hall. The hotel also provides internet access, medical facilities, a supermarket and a boutique.

The club also offers sports facilities for its guests including tennis courts, football, archery, rifle shooting, volleyball, water polo, table tennis, minigolf, aerobics and mountain bikes. Boats, catamarans and canoes and windsurfing are also available for use so long as guests hold the appropriate licenses or certificates to operate them.

Cub Maryland would probably be classed best as a family resort, as it caters primarily to families with children. The accommodation facilities are small bungalows that are reasonably affordable for families and young couples. Of its onsite attractions, the best feature is the beach, where the water is extremely pure and a deep blue in color, any bathers or swimmers must watch out for the Medusas (jellyfish) as they are prevalent in the summertime.

The resort’s pools are huge and they surrounded with plenty of sun-beds and it makes for the perfect location for any family getaway from the hustle and bustle of daily life.
