Passengers using the airport as a gateway to Algarve, will discover a modern terminal building with an agreeable, wide and colourful structure, fitting perfectly into the local climate. The airport is well positioned for Faro, which is located a short 7 km away.

The airport has only one terminal which caters for all domestic, international and intercontinental flights.

Once inside the terminal, you can find a bank, bureau de change and post office. A good selection of food outlets is also present in the airport. Both duty-free and an excellent array of regular shopping outlets are available. Products on offer include local handicrafts, delicatessen goods, clothing, electronics, and there are several other stores with music, press and books available. 15 travel agencies have outlets in the airport to aid with any further travel plans.
