Transportation to and From Erfurt Airport
Erfurt Airport is located five kilometres west of the city in the region of Thuringia, in central Germany. Connections with the efficient autobahn network are very convenient and there are good bus connections with the town as well.
Bus number 99 goes from Terminal B to the city, from Monday through Friday. Alternatively, bus lines 91 and 92 (all days) go as far as Hauptfriedhof, where you change to tram line number 4, for the city. The journey time is approximately 20 minutes.
By road, access is via the E40/A4 autobahn, running eastwest (PolandGiessen); from there, take the A71 north to connect with the B7 into the airport. The E51/A9 (Berlin-Munich) autobahn crosses the E40 to the east of Erfurt and the E45/A7 from Hannover running south crosses the E40 to the west.
The multi-storey car park is situated close to Terminal B and has excellent security with video. It is not necessary to reserve parking spaces. Parking spaces for the disabled are free of charge and specially marked. Before returning to your car, contact the information desk in Terminal B to arrange the free ticket.
