Eilat has everything a tourist is seeking in a seaside resort including magnificent coastal scenery, exciting watersports, great nightlife and fascinating marine life, making this southern Israeli city a rewarding holiday destination.
The Coral World Underwater Observatory Marine Park is the most popular attraction in Eilat, and allows you to discover first-hand the delights of the underwater world of the Red Sea. There are several fascinating exhibits, including the Aquarium Museum, the Shark Tank, the Turtle and Stingray Pool, the Underwater Observatories and the Reef Tanks.
Eilat has a host of recreational activities on offer. Tire yourself out diving, water skiing, parasailing, windsurfing, swimming and boating. Other less strenuous activities are trips to nearby mountains of Yoash, Merech and Hizkiyahu to enjoy the spectacular scenery from the many convenient observation points.
Back in the resort, relax by the beach and toast the sunset in one of the many superb bars, pubs, cafes and restaurants. Accommodation is luxurious, and the nightlife is centred round dozens of exciting clubs and discos.
Nearby, nature lovers can discover rare flora and fauna at the stunning Timna Valley Nature Reserve or, alternatively, travel out to the Dolphin Reef for a swim and dive with these friendly sea mammals. For some magnificent desert scenery, head inland to the incredible Solomons Pillars.
Connections to Eilat can be made through Tel Aviv, and shuttle services into the city are convenient and reliable.
