Car Rental Edinburgh Airport - Transportation to and From Edinburgh Airport

Regular bus services operate from the airport terminal forecourt (zone A) to the central Edinburgh bus terminus at Waverley Bridge, above Edinburgh Waverley railway station, also stopping at Edinburgh Haymarket railway station. These run every 15 minutes during peak periods and roughly every 30-60 minutes at off-peak times. The Airsaver covers a single fare, plus same-day, unlimited travel on LRT buses around the city. Regular bus services also serve Dunfermline and Livingston.

Taxis are available from a stand in front of the terminal, with journey times to Edinburgh city centre taking about 20 minutes.

If coming by car, you will find the airport situated just off the A8 main road between Glasgow and Edinburgh. The clearly sign-posted airport access road turns north off the A8 between the Gogar and Newbridge roundabouts.

At the airport, parking is provided in the short-term car park located directly in front of the terminal building, while long-term park is provided close by. The long-term facility is served by a free courtesy coach to the terminal forecourt with discounts available for pre-booked long-term parking (tel: + 44 (0) 800 844 844).
