Getting to Dusseldorf

Dusseldorf International airport is one of the three largest airports in Germany, and a leading one for national charter flights. Daily flights to many trans-Atlantic and European destinations can be caught here.

The S-Bahn leaves from the airport in 20 minute intervals for both the city centre and main train station. The U-Bahn (underground) covers the distance from the main railway station to the Altstadt in just three minutes.

The public tram system operates efficiently within the city, and includes popular tours to various sights of interest.

By car, Dusseldorf is directly accessible by the Autobahn roads A 3, A 44, A 46, A 52, A 57, A 59 and A 524. From Cologne it takes about 30 minutes (A 46), from Bonn 45 minutes and from Aachen 50 minutes (A57 & A44).
