The climate is typically Mediterranean here, dry and hot in summer and cool during December, January and February. Rain is scarce and drought plagues the country, with rationing commonplace. There is however unpredictable rain during the winter.

Temperatures usually crep well into the 30s during the summer, the best times to visit being April and August when the tourist centres are less busy and the weather perfect. Mediterranean breezes help to quell the heat and humidity isn’t as stifling as you’d expect.
