Car Rental Cork Airport - Transportation to and From Cork Airport
By car, Cork Airport is easily reached by following the Main N71 Route, 5 Miles from the City Centre and is well signposted on all major routes. Waterford, Tipperary and Kilkenny are within easy reach via the new Lee Tunnel.
A frequent bus service operates from the airport to the city centre. A daily service is available to and from Cork City Centre with regular departures every 45 minutes.
Iarnrod Eireann's regular Inter-City Train Service to and from Cork has a frequent bus connection from its Railway Station to Cork Airport. Train services operate downtown from Kent Station, and serve destinations all over Ireland.
As for shuttle buses, most major hotels will arrange for you to be collected and quality tour operators will have someone meet you or your group at the airport.
There is also a taxi rank located just outside the main terminal. The cost is approximately 10 Euro from the airport to the city centre with journeys taking around 15 minutes on average. A Hackney Service (Private Hire) also operates from the airport; rates of hire are displayed at the desk.
Short-term and long-term parking is available within the airport, with over 2,800 spaces available in total. Special rates are available for frequent users of car parking facilities. The car parks operate 24/7. Car key holding facilities are available from the Car Park Services Desk in the Terminal building.
