Car Hire Cordoba Airport - Mini guide to Cordoba Airport
Cordoba Airport is situated six kilometres from the city centre and is classified as a third category airport that caters mostly to charter flights during the summer months. Visitors are mainly from the UK, Netherlands and Germany.
The single level terminal building caters for all domestic and international flights. There are limited facilities at the airport, with just one café and no ATMs, banking or postal services.
Those who require special assistance or wheelchairs should notify their airlines when booking their flight. Specially fitted toilets and ramps are located across the airport. Designated parking areas are available in the car park opposite the terminal. An airport information counter is provided, and doubles as the lost and found booth.
The airport is directly linked to the city via the N-437 national highway. A bus route also runs between the airport and the city; Monday to Friday 15 times daily from 6:30 to 22:30, Saturday 11 times daily from 6:30 to 22:30, Sunday 9 times daily from 8:00 to 22:30.
Thanks to the AVE Madrid-Seville station in Cordoba, the airport has excellent connections with these two cities. With the high-speed train, Madrid is two hours from Cordoba, and the Andalusian capital is scarcely an hour away. The TALGO 2000 going to Malaga also runs on this line, which has made Cordoba the interchange centre of traffic between Madrid and the two Andalusian cities. Taxis are available in front of the terminal building, or may be called from the Aena information desk.
