Car Hire Conil - Mini guide to Conil

Conil

Conil is a postcard perfect seaside village located in Costa de la Luz. The picturesque setting is situated between woodlands and the sea and the village itself is lined with white walls and streets. Conil continues to grow in popularity as a tourist destination, yet it is not a typical tourist town.

Visitors will find lodging accommodations to meet any budget and need from private villas, apartments, campsites to four-star hotels. Conil is surrounded by small villages that also offer quaint lodging at a great price. Hotel Oasis Atalaya is only three minutes from the beach and gives visitors spectacular views from each room. Hotel Diufain is one of the areas best located only 500m from the sea and near the Old Town center. It offers modern facilities in an old Andalusian style.

There are over 14km of sandy white beaches along the shoreline of Conil. You’ll find intimate coves to explore and beautiful blue waters to play and swim in. Playa de los Bateles is the beach closest to town, but Playa de la Fontanilla, Playa Roche and Playa del Gallo are just minutes away.

Restaurants in Conil specialize in seafood, but that’s all they are known for. Most take advantage of locally grown vegetables and a favorite dish of local’s is rice with thistles, cabbages and artichokes. You will find an international range of cuisine such as pizza baked on a wood fired oven at La Piccola Italia, and Los Corales offers a spectacular menu offering fish and a variety of meats.

Conil has a lively nightlife to spend an unforgettable night. One of the newer clubs, Café La Havana is a Cuban establishment that doubles as a Café during the day and a trendy hotspot in the evenings. La Tertulia is a refreshingly different nightspot located in a converted Spanish home. Enjoy a drink on the patio, relax in one of the intimate rooms or enjoy a game in the poolroom. La Luna is one of the local favorites with an open-air disco and the dancing and fun will continue until the sun comes up.

Costa de la Luz means ‘coast of light’ and with its sunny disposition, beautiful beaches and friendly atmosphere, Conil is the perfect destination for a relaxing holiday.
