The Award Winning shoreline of Colwyn Bay and Rhos-on-Sea has safe bathing, water sports and sea fishing from its wide, sandy beaches. The Promenade extends in a vast sweep from Old Colwyn to Penrhyn Bay, with easy access to beautiful beaches, the pier, a paddling pool, sheltered harbour at Rhos-on-Sea and a cycle track which runs right along the Coast from Rhos-on-Sea to Pensarn.

One of the many historic places to visit whilst staying in the area is the tiny chapel of St. Trillo built in the 6th century on the beach in Rhos-on-Sea. Victoria Pier is a great place to spend a relaxing evening. Try the Pier bar with its spectacular sunsets or have a meal in the pier cafe. The Welsh Mountain Zoo, set above Colwyn Bay, aims to conserve animal and plant species and to educate students of all ages.

There are shopping areas in Colwyn Bay and Rhos-on-Sea; the former offers a street market (twice a week) and the latter has a variety of small interesting shops, from antiques and jewellers to gift shops. There is also an abundance of local golf courses and plenty of places to walk and climb. The summit of Bryn Euryn provides spectacular views towards the Conwy valley, Llandudno and Colwyn Bay.

For those visitors who wish to explore further afield, it is a short drive to the splendour of Snowdonia, the varied delights of the Isle of Anglesey, the numerous castles and National Trust properties, the tranquil beauty of the Conwy Valley, the Victorian seaside resort of Llandudno and the nearby ancient walled town of Conwy - complete with harbour and castle.

Manchester and Liverpool Airports offer easy access to Llandudno and Colwyn Bay. Both have direct road, coach and train links into the area. The A55 is an expressway which gives direct access to the motorway network via the M56. Trains from Colwyn Bay Station leave every hour to London Euston Station (duration 3.5 hours).
