Car Rental Cologne/Bonn Airport - Transportation to and From Cologne/Bonn Airport
Cologne/Bonn Airport Konrad Adenauer is located to the southeast of Cologne over the River Rhine, and has excellent and varied transport connections with the city and beyond.
There is a railway station situated between Terminals 1 and 2, and regional as well as high-speed European network trains serve the airport. The S13 train goes to town every 30 minutes, taking 11 minutes.
Airport shuttles are available to and from Cologne and Bonn every 15 minutes (Monday-Friday) and every 30 minutes (Saturday-Sunday). Journey time is approximately 20 minutes to Cologne and 35 minutes to Bonn.
Cologne is a European motorway network hub and the city is encircled by a closed motorway ring. The airport itself was designed as a drive-in airport, and a motorway spur runs right up to the terminals, linking Cologne/Bonn directly with the German motorway network and Europe. Highway A59 leads directly to the airport.
Taxis are readily available outside Terminals 1 and 2; a taxi from the airport to Cologne city centre takes around 15 minutes.
The airport has two long-term multi-storey car parks (car parks 2 and 3); a short-term multi-storey car park in front of Terminal 1; and a car park, P-Nord, next to Terminal 2. There is a shuttle bus from car park 3 to the terminals. Reservations can be made for women drivers and for security-monitored spaces (tel: +49(0) 2203 402 116).
