Getting to Cincinnati
Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky International Airport is one of the worlds fastest growing and most modern airports. It is situated approximately 16kms southwest of Cincinnati on the Kentucky side of the Ohio River. This sizeable airport is an important transportation hub, offering flights to 125 cities all over the US on a daily basis.
Outside of the country, London, Montreal, Nassau, Frankfurt, Paris and Toronto are also served daily. Airport shuttles, private shuttles and taxis are all available to provide transport from the airport into the city.
Cincinnati is well-connected to other towns and cities in Ohio, and to other states in the country, by the network of interstate highways that run through and around it. Interstate 74 from Indianapolis loops around Cincinnati before making its way northeast to Columbus. I-71 from Louisville joins I-75 from Lexington at Kentucky and then skirts the city; I-75 moves on northwards to Toledo.
Three trains leave Cincinnati weekly, destined for Indianapolis and Chicago. They depart from the beautiful Amtrak station at the Cincinnati Museum Centre, a worthwhile attraction in itself.
Greyhound buses, leaving from the station within two kilometres of the city centre, connect Cincinnati to all major cities in Ohio and beyond.
