Charles de Gaulle International Airport is considered one of the busiest airports in Europe and is the main gateway to France. Locally, the airport is known as Roissy and is located only 16 miles outside of Paris.

The airport is considered avant-garde, modern and was designed by famed French architect Paul Andreu. Unfortunately, tragedy struck in 2004 when the ceiling of the newly constructed Terminal 2E collapsed, killing several people. This part of the terminal was demolished and is currently being rebuilt.
