Car Hire Caserta - Mini guide to Caserta

When one thinks of Italy what typically comes to mind is breathtaking views, architecture styles from the 17th and 18th centuries, as well as a plethora of history to enjoy! The village of Caserta definitely contains all of those things wrapped into one and there are many interesting facts about Caserta and plenty of things to do and see while one is visiting the area. There are four main places around Caserta that attract plenty of visitors each year. The Cathedral of St. Michael the Archangel is just one of these sightseeing tours, and this Cathedral houses a large crucifix which is considered to have saved the whole province of Caserta from the spread of Cholera around the 18th Century!

The other three sights in Caserta that should definitely be visited include the Palace of Caserta, the Old Palace, as well as the San Leucio resort. All three of these buildings are tourist attractions that typically see thousands of travelers each year. The Palace of Caserta was made during different kings' reigns in the 18th Century and this palace has more than 1,200 rooms along with beautiful gardens outside the palace walls. Throughout these gardens there are several large, beautiful flowing water fountains, including the Fountain of Ceres, Aeolus, and the Fountain of the Dolphins! The Old Palace, which was built in the 18th Century also, is the town hall of Florence and contains beautiful Gothic art and architecture throughout the whole grounds. Finally, the San Leucio resort is an old silk factory which is now a Living Silk Museum that is always fun to visit!

Caserta has also been the sight where many movies have been filmed. A couple examples include Star Wars Episode I and II, as well as Mission Impossible III. All three of these productions were filmed on the grounds of the Palace of Caserta. Traveling to Caserta, Italy, definitely is an interesting trip to take; it's filled with history, art, and plenty of tourist attractions to enjoy!
