Car Rental Cambridge - Exploring Cambridge
Cambridge, for the tourist, is reasonably compact, but you may want to explore Cambridgeshire and the East Anglia counties a bit more.
Adjacent to Cambridge is some lovely English countryside. Set in 18 acres of rural countryside, the Chilford Hall Vineyard is a working vineyard where you can see how wines are made. Coton Fruit Farm and Orchard, in Madingley, is similarly interesting. There are a number of old mills in the area which have historical value, found particularly in Bourn, Hinxton and Great Chisill. The little town of Shepreth, oddly, has two zoos, the Willers Mill Wildlife Park & Fish Farm, and Shepreth Wildlife Park, both of which have an impressive array of exotic animals and reptiles.
Ely is an unremarkable town but attracts visitors to its large, historically important cathedral. Newmarket is famous for its horse racing and has an interesting equestrian museum.
Norwich still holds to its claim as the capital of East Anglia. Despite its partial industrialization, it's a charming and historic city. In addition to its cathedral, it has more than 30 medieval parish churches built of flint.
