The Basse-Normandie region of France is home to Caen-Carpiquet Airport. The airport, located in Carpiquet only four miles (six kilometres) from the picturesque town of Caen, provides valuable air travel options to two of France's top cities.

Currently, only one airline operates out of the airport. Air France, one of France's main air carrier service providers, runs scheduled flights to the cities of Nice and Lyon from Caen-Carpiquet. This service is utilised by many French and foreign customers wishing to access this popular coastal region of France.

The airport's one, compact terminal houses three check-in counters, a small shop selling gifts and books, and a number of airline counters and car hire desks. A small caf-style restaurant provides a pleasant space to sit back and relax while waiting to depart.

Car hire is the number one option for getting out of the airport, while also allowing freedom of movement to explore this scenic region. Car hire can be booked online in advance, saving you time and money when you pick up your keys at the airport. Taxi is another means of travel, but is considerably more expensive and can be restrictive.
