Car Rental & Transportation to and From Buenos Aires Airport
There is no train service or underground service to the city. The most economical way to travel between the airport and downtown Buenos Aires is by bus. Several bus companies offer half-hourly services between Buenos Aires and Ezeiza airport from 05.00 to 21.00 hours. The trip takes 45 minutes, depending on traffic. Bus no. 86 runs from the airport to downtown Buenos Aires.
Passengers may choose to hire chauffeured cars, which are essentially unmetered taxis. Standard procedure is a flat travel price, negotiated at the time of hire. Generally this takes around 45 minutes, depending on traffic.
Black and yellow metered taxis are widely available in and around Ezeiza Airport and throughout Buenos Aires. The arrivals bay taxi area can be chaotic to say the least! In order to avoid the squabble, go to a taxi booth and make arrangements for a taxi to take you to the center of the city.
To get to Buenos Aires by car from the airport, take the General Ricchieri Expressway northeast for approximately 18 miles and exit at Avenida 9 de Julio.
There is one central parking lot of almost 2500 spaces at the southern end of Ezeiza International Airport, accessible from the General Ricchieri highway. No distinction is made between long and short-term parking.
