Car Rental Brussels Airport - Transportation to and From Brussels Airport
By car, the Brussels inner and outer Ring Road (follow signs for Airport or Zaventem) provide easy access to the airport.
Rail is conveniently located on level 1 below the terminal. The Airport City Express trains depart every 15 minutes for Brussels' three principal stations: Gare Centrale, Gare du Nord and Gare du Midi. The trip takes from 15 to 20 minutes. Direct trains also serve Gent in the northwest, De Panne on the northern coast and Quievrain/Quevy to the southwest.
Express buses provided by MIVB/STIB connect the airport to NATO, the European Commission area and the city centre in less than half an hour. Buses run from 0500 to 2300 and leave every 20 minutes between 0700 and 2100, every 30 minutes outside of these hours.
De Lijn buses operate every 45 minutes between the airport and downtown Brussels. The route has plenty of suburban stops, lengthening journey time to 40 minutes.
European cities are served by scheduled coaches that leave from the bus station on level 0, below the Arrivals hall; destinations include Antwerp, Eindhoven, Liege and Valenciennes.
Metered-taxis leave from outside the Arrivals hall. Licensed cabs have a yellow and blue emblem.
Parking is provided at the two short-term car parks and two long-term car parks. Lock Park is situated beside the terminal and Car Hotel provides a shuttle service every ten minutes to its car park (Tel: (0) 2 753 0110): spaces at the Car Hotel should be reserved 48 hours prior to arrival.
