Car Hire in Brive Airport - Mini guide to Brive Airport
Brive–La Roche Airport
Brive–La Roche Airport is a small airport located in the Limousin region of France, only two miles (three kilometres) from Brive-la-Gaillarde. Although a new airport is under construction close by and expected to be in operation some time in 2008, the current location offers a much needed service between the area and Paris Orly Airport.
Airlinair is the sole company running services between Brive–La Roche and Paris Orly airports. This service provides excellent opportunities to residents of the area for quick and efficient travel to the country’s capital. Likewise, those wishing to enter the region from Paris can avail of 22 scheduled flights to Brive–La Roche per week.
The airport’s single small terminal doesn’t provide the usual facilities that can be found in larger airports, but it is nevertheless a pleasant space to sit back and watch people and air traffic coming and going. A small shop stocks a range of refreshments.
For transport into the surrounding towns and countryside, a taxi service is available either from in front of the main entrance or by calling in advance. Telephone numbers for taxis are available from the airport’s information desk.
One of the best modes of transport is car hire. We offer cheap car hire through international car hire companies located at the airport’s terminal with insurance included in the package. The freedom of movement afforded through having your own car allows you to explore the region and get to places most tourists never do.
