Car Hire in Brisbane - Getting to Brisbane
Brisbane's Eagle Farm airport is a busy international destination with frequent arrivals from and departures to Asia, Europe, the Pacific islands, North America, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea. It is easily accessed by taxi or car and a shuttle bus runs from the Transit Centre on Roma St in downtown Brisbane, about every half-hour until mid-evening.
Trains are also stationed at the Transit Centre. There are direct trains to Sydney, but rail travel within Queensland is slower and more expensive than the bus.
Transit Centre also serves as the main bus terminal, and all the main bus companies are based here. Buses run to Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Cairns, as well as towns up and down the coast. Shuttle buses heading for the Gold and Sunshine Coasts, depart regularly and are reliable.
Driving in an out of Brisbane isnt difficult, major highways exit the city North and South and extend the length of Queensland. Traffic isnt heavy and facilities along the lengthy stretch are numerous.
