Car Hire in Brighton - Getting to Brighton
Brighton is just over 50 miles south of central London and easily reached by train or car. By air, the nearest airport is Gatwick (30 minutes by train), which is one of Britains busiest. It has regular flights to all continents and almost a dozen trans-Atlantic departures daily. It also receives a lot of air traffic from Europe. The airport is well equipped, efficient and less busy than Heathrow. Trains run south to Brighton every 20 minutes, and there is a direct highway (M23) between the two.
Brighton has good rail links to London with over 30 direct services a day to Victoria and 50 direct daily services to the City at London Bridge station. The journey averages an hour (varying speeds) and stops at many south London suburbs. The Thameslink service runs through London and northwards as far as Luton. Local services run east and west a short distance.
National Express operates hourly coach services seven days a week to London's Victoria coach station and many other cities in the southeast region of England.
By road the city is within 30 minutes of the M25 London orbital motorway via the M23/A23. From the east or west, take the A27 or the slower coast roads.
