Car Rental & Transportation to and From Bremen Airport
The airport lies within the city limits of Bremen, which is located in the northern Lower Saxony region of Germany. Transportation connections with the city are very good, including route B75 into the centre, and a combination of tram and train options.
Bremen International Airport can be reached directly from the main railway station and the ZOB (central coach station) by tram number 6, which stops just outside the airline check-in desks. At peak times, the tram runs every 10 minutes and takes about 20 minutes to reach the main railway station/central coach station.
From Oldenburg and the surrounding area, there is a shuttle bus service (Luftibus) to the airport. You can either book at your travel agency or directly.
The airport is well signposted for motorists coming from any direction. From Hamburg following the A1 autobahn, take the Arsten exit; from the other direction, including Osnabrück, take the Arsten exit also. From Bremerhaven via the A27 autobahn, take the Freihafen exit and Federal highway B6; alternatively, from Bremen centre, take the B75.
A taxi from the main railway station to the airport costs about €10 and takes approximately 20 minutes, depending on the traffic.
There are two 24-hour car parks near the terminal. Several spaces on the ground floor of both car parks and on the third floor of car park I are reserved for women and for the disabled. There is long and short stay parking available; however, conditions apply on long stay.
