Car Rental & Transportation to and From Boston Airport
The MBTA subway train, (known locally as the 'T'), operates from Airport Station on the Blue Line to South Station in downtown Boston. There is a free shuttle bus service between the Airport Station and all terminals.
A free bus service, number 66, connects all terminals at Boston Logan International Airport to the Logan Water Shuttle Dock every ten minutes From the dock you have a wide choice of city destinations. The connecting water taxi services are then an excellent way to avoid airport congestion. Other bus services operating at Logan International Airport are run by the Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority (MBTA). Look out for city connection bus routes 448, 459 and CT3. Taxis at Boston Logan International Airport are available for hire outside all arrival halls. A typical journey to downtown Boston will take around 20 minutes. Logan Airport shared-ride vans are also available.
Travelling from the airport by car, head for the Callahan Tunnel for destinations such as Boston City Centre, Massachusetts or Cape Cod. Once on Highway I-93 directions are clear. Be warned, most city roads are congested so it is best to allow an extra 30 minutes on top of estimated journey times.
The airport operates short-term, valet and disabled parking facilities nearby. Long-term parking is located a short way from the airport, connected to all terminals by complimentary shuttle bus. Passengers should allow extra time for a security inspection of their vehicles on arrival at all airport parking areas.
