Birmingham International Airport is located at the centre of England and is easy to get to by road, rail or coach from locations throughout the Midlands and beyond.
The airport boasts its own rail station, linking it conveniently to Birmingham New Street station. Intercity, regional and local rail services all service this station, connecing it with direct trains to London and other major centres in the UK. A skyrail links the station with the terminals and parking.
Local buses depart from outside all the passenger terminals. Services follow routes through to Birmingham central, Wolverhampton, Sutton Coldfield, Nuneaton, Atherstone, Coventry, Warwick and Solihull. In addition, National Express operates long distance coach services linking the airport to a number of cities in the UK and also provides inter-airport Flightlink coaches.
For motorists, the airport is just off junction 6 of the M42. The airport itself is located on the A45 Coventry Road, eight miles east of Birmingham City. There are direct connections to the M1, M5, M6 and M40 and the airport is well sign-posted from all these motorways. The M6 toll is now also open, providing a more efficient alternative with a 27 mile, dual three-lane, carriageway between Junctions 4 and 11 of the M6, exiting at junction T1 for the airport.
Parking is managed by NCP and includes a drop off zone, short stay and long stay parking, all linked to the terminals by shuttles or the skyrail. Long stay discounted parking rates are offered for pre-book or six-day pre book. More information is available by calling: +44 (0)8707 335511.
