One of three airports servicing Germanys capital, Tempelhof has a capacity of almost 1,5 million passengers per year, providing connections to cities across Europe and also to several domestic locations. Charter flights to various European destinations also operate out of the airport, with services to both summer and winter holiday destinations available.
The single terminal houses 25 counters for the airlines, with facilities including luggage storage, airport information, sales and information desks for the airlines and travel agencies, conference rooms, snack bars, shopping, police and customs.
The Airlift coffee shop provides snacks and drinks (opening hours Mon-Fri 07:00-20:00; Sat 08:00.-19:00.; Sun 11:30-20:00), while a snack bar, Air Snack also offers a wide variety of refreshments.
You will find a variety of shops in the main hall, with stores selling travel necessities, gifts, snacks and beverages, as well as newspapers, stationery and photography goods.
You will also find a florist's near the main entrance. Duty-free shopping is available in the departures area, and offers a wide range of drinks, tobaccos and perfumes.
ATMs provided by Deutsche Bank are on hand in the area near the main entrance. Currency exchange is also available, and is found to the right of the main entrance. Various currencies may be changed into traveller's checks or other currencies. A self-service exchange machine is also available for the exchange of small change. The Hair salon situated at the main entrance area is another option. There is also a 24-hour first aid station located on the runway level (tel: +49 30 6951-3614). Mail boxes are located in front of the main entrance.
Further facilities include a baby changing room, located in the bathrooms on the left as you leave main hall, behind the baggage storage. Baggage carts are provided free of charge, in the arrivals hall, in the terminal building and at parking area P2.
Business travellers may book conference rooms at the airport, through TAG Aviation (tel: +49 30 6951-3880) and LSG (tel: +49 30 4101-3626). There are lounges provided by Diners Club, in the transit area, which provide some business facilities and an environment in which you may relax.
Handicapped-accessible facilities include ramps in the entrances, adapted telephones and specially designed toilets. You will find the toilets located near the elevator on the right handside of the main entrance. Those with any special needs should contact their respective airlines in advance to arrange appropriate assistance.
