Car Rental & Transportation to and From Belfast City Airport
A shuttle bus service runs between the Airport Terminal and the adjacent rail halt at Sydenham. There is a twice hourly rail service (06:00-18:00 Monday-Friday) to Central and Victoria Street Stations, and the service is hourly after 18:00. From Central Station you may connect to the rest of the rail network in Northern Ireland and the Irish Republic.
There is also a direct bus link from the Airport terminal to Belfast Europa Bus Centre adjacent to the Europa Hotel, leaving every 40 minutes. This service operates beween 06:25 and 21:50, and costs £2.50 for a single journey. No. 21 Citybus operates every 20 minutes from Sydenham to City Hall, with the stop located just five minutes walk from the terminal. Further services include the Airporter bus service, which operates 6 coaches daily to Londonderry.
Approved taxis run from the airport taxi rank directly outside the terminal building, with fares to Belfast city centre (approx £6).
If driving from the city centre, follow the signs for City Airport/Bangor on the Sydenham Bypass (A2). The airport is located 3km from the city centre on the left hand-side. From the west and south, take Westlink M3 in the Bangor direction and the airport is 1 mile on the left of the Sydenham bypass (A2). From the north, take the M3 towards Bangor and the airport is 1 mile on the left of the Sydenham bypass (A2).
